Dr. Blickstein worked with the City’s Alternative Modes Task Force to review and finalize a proposed City-wide bikeway network, as well as to prioritize segments for short-term implementation. As part of this effort SGB analyzed all accidents involving pedestrians and cyclists for a three-year period and identified hot spots and conceptual improvements for those locations within the proposed area-wide network based on NJDOT and AASHTO guidelines. In addition, Dr. Blickstein facilitated meetings of the Alternative Modes Task Force and helped to build consensus on short-term improvements and a City-wide bikeway network.
