To determine how to maximize economic development opportunities and to create jobs, the Town of Moriah commissioned a study to develop a strategy for the waterfront’s economic future. The Town hired the Crane Associates Inc./ SGB Team to assess the economic profile of the Town and region; review past attempts at revitalizing the waterfront; conduct a market analysis and financial model; review successful case studies in the North Country in similar sized towns; and to conduct a survey of local opinions on the purposes and uses of the waterfront. SGB designed and implemented the community survey and prepared the case studies.
